Modders finally bring Titanfall wallrunning to Apex Legends

If there's one question that's dogged Apex Legends e'er since information technology surprise-dropped in 2019, it's probably: where's the wallrunning? O'er two and a half old age later, a modded build of the pun has finally given us a glimpse of the Titanfall battle royale we never quite got.

And bloody hell, it's rather beautiful.

Recently, a number of Apex content creators have begun accessing an unofficial, moddable construct of the game, rental them frolic old outcome maps, tweak legend abilities, Beaver State even bring back guns like the EPG Arugula Launcher from Titanfall 2. It's not clear who distributed this frame, or where Ea stands along the legality of third-party Apex clients (in all likelihood, not well), but it's given us a phenomenal look at Apex as we've always wanted to see it.

Posting along one of their secondary YouTube channels, Titanfall movement legend MokeySniper showed off footage of Apex rush along lad Octane gliding effortlessly crosswise Human race's Edge. Getting across Reality's Edge's enduring urbanised ail-point usually takes minutes of hard skirmishing, but Mokey glides and bounces from wall to building in a matter of seconds.

Granted, information technology's also immediately obviously why Apex didn't go the wallrunning road observation this. Tracking a full lobby of 60 players yeeting themselves crossways the map sounds nightmarish, never even minding the pain of having to build maps big enough to accommodate this speed in a battle royale. In person, I think Apex struck a alright balance of keeping what was interesting about Titanfall's movement spell holding it doable.

That said, Respawn hasn't codified vertical sprinting out of Acme wholly. Last year's Fantas Royale Halloween mode gave undead players access to constricted wallrunning. With full-featured Acme wallrunning straightaway on show, it'd be keen to see Respawn find ways to revisit the feature.
